The 2014 Preston Health Mela report is now available for download from the Mela Reviews page.

The event took place on 3rd May at the Guild Hall in Preston and the chief guest was Dr Tim Ballard, Vice Chairman of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Within the overall theme of community, health and well-being, the 2014 event was designed to raise awareness about the importance of safety at home, in the workplace and in the community.

Each year, the Mela includes a breakfast meeting health conference  and, on this occasion, the theme was ‘The Role of General Practitioners in Promoting Health & Wellbeing within Communities.’ The meeting was chaired by Mr Stuart Heys, Chair of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Tim Ballard gave a fascinating and stimulating presentation setting the scene for the future of healthcare provision.

More details of the event, including exhibitors, sponsors and attendance details can be found in the report.
